During the lockdown period, I was contacted by Saal Digital with the offer of a photo book from their beautiful range. For months I had toyed with the idea of making a book with my favourite images from New Zealand but hadn’t got around to it. So, with nothing but free time during lockdown and the opportunity to pick a book of my choice, it was the perfect chance!
Designing the book
To start with, the process of making a photo book through Saal Digital couldn’t be easier. You either design the layout in InDesign or simply download the Saal Digital photo book editor and drag and drop. The hardest part was selecting the images I wanted to include! With almost 1TB of saved images from two years and countless trips, it was a tough job sifting through and selecting a few.
Within the Saal Digital editor you can choose exactly how your book will be made. From the cover to the paper finish and weight, it’s all super simple. I chose a black leather cover and 52 pages of high-end matte finish, pro-quality paper, and I couldn’t be happier!
I’m so happy to have created a tangible collection of images from my time in New Zealand. Having the opportunity to turn physical pages with my images on is a much, much more enjoyable way to reminisce that looking on a screen. I highly recommend creating your own book of memories to look back on!
