Keen Terradora Ethos Released In Time For Spring

March 6, 2018

Based in Portland, Oregon, Keen has released a number of interesting and innovative shoes since they joined the market in 2003. We tested out the Uneek sandals in the summer of last year and still wear them to this date.

The women’s Terradora range, released in early 2017, ignited a movement that Keen dubbed ‘TrailFit’. Effectively turning any trail, mountain or urban landscape into an opportunity to get outside and get fit. The idea that an adventure doesn’t necessarily have to be of epic proportions clearly resonated with Keen’s female fans around the world.

Introducing the Terradora Ethos

This year, just in time for Spring, Keen has released a new and improved version of the popular shoe. The brand new Terradora Ethos features an open-air design which has been designed with the warmer weather in mind. As well as being super breathable, the Terradora Ethos is a water adaptable shoe. The water repellent upper and quick dry lining means that your feet will dry out quickly even if they do get wet, perfect for summer hikes and coastal adventures. And the quick dry lining has been treated with Cleansport NXT which ensures that feet smell fresh even after a long day on the trails.

Much like the Uneek sandals we tested last year, the Terradora Ethos has a secure-fit lace system for quick and easy fitting. The elasticated lace system allows your feet to move freely and swell without discomfort in the heat. Ideal really.

And unlike other sandals which have a smooth sole, the Terradora Ethos have 4mm multi-directional lugs to give optimal grip on all terrain.

Also making a return this SS18 is the Terradora Mid WP. Providing the support and stability of a boot but the comfort of a running shoe, the Terradora mid-top is a great walking boot alternative.

For the hot summer months when walking boots can be too restrictive and sweaty, the breathable Terradora range could be the answer. Providing the protection and support of conventional trail shoes but with the breathability of sandals, the Terradora Ethos is the perfect hybrid.
