These last 12 months have forced us to spend more time at home than ever before. Lockdown after lockdown has confined us Brits to our humble abodes in a bid to stop the spread of this horrible virus. Unfortunately, we enter 2021 in yet another lockdown as the mountains around the UK are covered in more snow than I’ve ever seen before. *sobs*
One of the only positives I can take from another UK lockdown is the chance to wear the Howser Slippers from Keen. The slippers (yes, slippers) are a welcomed addition to my WFH set up and make time spent indoors a little more bearable by being so damn comfy. But these slippers aren’t confined to the indoors – read on to find out more.
What are the Howser slips?
Good question. The super comfy slip-ons have a hard-wearing, outdoor-friendly rubber sole and a soft felt upper. The large toe box makes the slips incredibly comfy to kick around the house in or to slip on after climbing, running, or whatever outdoor activity you choose. You could drive to the start of a hike in them and then change into your boots, you could slide into them after a chilly winter wild swim or you could wear them to wheel your bike out of the garage on a crisp Sunday morning.
The versatility afforded by these humble slippers (wait for it) almost rivals a pair of Crocs, but without the stigma.
Whether you’re kicking it at home or travelling to the trail-head, these hardy slippers tick all the boxes as far as we’re concerned. They’re super comfy, they look great and they’re built to last. There are a few different styles to choose from but I think the grey felt upper is the best looking style. Possibly not the hardiest upper material for heavy outdoor use but for getting cosy, they look the best in my opinion.
